How Harmful Can Some Words Be

Could you imagine someone telling you that if you don't do something, you're going to suffer a horrible punishment and possibly death, because you chose to ignore their message. Can simple words create powerful beliefs, isn't this what some religious doctorines create? Even the media does it, think about it the next time you turn your television on or read the newspaper.

You seem to believe something because someone told you that's how it is and when you go to question them, they simply repeat the simple statement, that's how is. It's hard to imagine a few words, articulated almost perfectly can create an overwhelming emotion in someone.

The Germans used propaganda to create fear with a few of these words. It's not just a few of these words, there's more power behind these words if their repeated often. These words can build up someone's hopes and dreams or tear them apart.

Is there a quote that you're fond of? You probably memorized it and it has some sort of significance or creates a certain feeling when mentioned. Quotes are organized words that create powerful beliefs in some people.

If I mention the words," I have a dream" you probably think of Martin Luther King. These four words meant a lot to people that were struggling for their freedom, not only in America but around the world. These words are a example of powerful words that have created a wonderful feeling.

When these powerful words create fear you know it. If you watch the news, night after night and they keep telling you how bad the economy is, it doesn't take long before you believe it. You tighten up your budget and stop spending money, because you are now fearful and don't want to lose what you have. When everyone starts holding onto their money, the economy actually does become worse over time.

Can simple words create powerful beliefs? Yes obviously they can and they do, so be careful when listening to words that create fear and try not to spread this fear around to others. Fear can be turned into relief if the right words are used, I would suggest using happy words to create a happy world. Have a nice day.

Action Plan For Success

Designing Inspiring Environments

The influence of your personal environments on your health, creativity, and well-being is often subtle, yet profound. You can use the environments you live in to support you in feeling good about yourself, to experience less stress, and to be more productive.

Personal environments can include your relationships with family, friends, and colleagues, your work environment, networks, ideas, learning environments - and your physical environment - such as your home, the community you live in, nature, your garden, the technology you use, the information you absorb everything that you surround yourself with. It can also be the foods you keep in our house, the beautiful objects and colors around you, the books, magazines and newspapers you read, the movies you watch, and the thoughts you think.

Personal environments can also include your internal surroundings your belief systems and thought patterns. As you work on raising your awareness of your inner thoughts and eliminating negative or unproductive thoughts, you might notice increased levels of energy and focus.

Its possible to revitalize your surroundings or environments and design them so they bring out the very best in you, so that they evolve you toward a successful, inspiring, struggle-free life. As you develop your personal environments, you develop yourself and your capacity to be creative and to receive ongoing inspiration and support.

The goal is to design supportive environments that will inspire you to be your best and do great things. Success and personal development are more sustainable when there are environments and failsafe structures which support it.

ASSESS YOUR PERSONAL ENVIRONMENTS
Being fully alive calls you to play a much bigger game in life...evolving to your optimal potential or greatness. Do the environments around you bring out your best? Do you receive enough creative inspiration? Do you know what sparks your muse? Is there enough intellectual and spiritual stimulation in your life?

1. When you are feeling fully alive, what is going on for you?

2. How do you feel as you walk into your workspace? Into your home?

3. On a scale from 1-5, with 5 being the most desirable, how much would you say your environments are supporting you in living the life you most desire?

4. What is something in your environment that you are tolerating that could be removed?

5. What is something that is missing from your personal environments that, if added, would inspire you to do and be your best?

6. What methods do you use on a daily basis to raise your energy level?

7. What beliefs most profoundly affect your way of thinking?

TRY THIS
If inspiration is an energy that flows through the spaces we inhabit, it is wise for us to remove any items that might block its path, and add items that would increase its presence.

Choose one physical environment in your workspace or home to concentrate on. If you could change one thing in your surroundings starting today, what would you change? Each day, do one task in that environment to establish order, create space, remove items that block your creativity, add items that you love, perhaps add color - and design surroundings that will inspire you to be and do your best.

Creating an environment that truly supports you in being your best can be a very worthwhile long-term project. Envision what an inspiring, stimulating environment would be for you, and have the patience to build that vision a step at a time. It's worth the work!

FINAL THOUGHT
"If you have not used something in the past year, regardless of how attached to it you are, pass it along. You have used up its usefulness to you... letting go of attachments is a rewarding way to feel positive about yourself, and to keep things flowing back into your own life as well." ~ Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

A Rich Man To Enter The Kingdom

Unbelievable High School Inspiration Video

What a great inspirational story about a young man on a high school basketball team. Sometimes it's not all about what you think

Magic Of Believing Book
Planting The Seeds Of Suggestion

Religious Thought

As a young boy and even into my early adult hood, I asked almost every one that I knew, what they thought heaven was going to be like. These people painted me the most wonderful and beautiful pictures, with the words coming out of their mouths. One woman told me that heaven was going to be the most wonderful place you could ever imagine. She told me that, I would be able to do anything that I wanted to do at any time of the day or night.

All I can say to this, is why are we afraid to die and why do we put that much effort into staying here, when heaven sounds like the place we all want to be. This becomes very confusing during troubled times. We live our whole life to be the best we can possibly be, and then and only then do we get to enter the kingdom of heaven, the most wonderful place in the universe.

Another man told me that, if I wanted to go to heaven, the more good deeds I did on earth, the better buy chances were of actually entering heaven. He said that some people don't get to go, because they did a couple of bad things or maybe one really, really bad thing, like murder. I often wondered what would be worse, murder or painting demonic symbols on the walls of a church, mosque or synagogue. I hope I'm not confusing you anymore than organized religions.

Well now that I have a pretty good idea, that in order to enter into heaven, I need to do good things... that's what I will do for the rest of my life. Sounds simple doesn't it. Now for the bad news, depending on which religion you choose to follow and don't forget that Christianity is one religion that allows you, something special, right before you die, no matter how bad of a person you were to accept Jesus Christ into your heart and accept him as the Almighty God, and this gets you one free pass into heaven.

Am I confusing you at all, does this make sense? When the man told me, that, the only way I would get to go to heaven was by doing good deeds and then the Bible tells me that, I just need to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and I get to go to the promised land, heaven. All right now were talking, this sounds pretty good now. I won't have to do very many good things and before I die can ask forgiveness for all the bad things I did.

I don't know what's true, but I can say that it gets a little confusing and as you go from religion to religion and place of worship to other places of worship, you will hear different stories, from different religious leaders. I can't make much sense out of some religions, but if you want to believe in heaven, there is someone out there who can paint you, the most wonderful picture of heaven in your mind. Whether we really get to go there or not, depends on what you want to believe in.

I wrote this article to get people thinking about the choices they've made and the religions they choose to follow. Is your religion right and others are wrong? Ask yourself this one question, think back, to when you made a conscious choice to follow the religion you're in right now, if any, most of the time you started believing as a child and never really got to choose because your parents, teachers, friends, family or guardians made a choice for you.

Video Book Review - The Magic of Beleiving

Thinking Outside The Box
Living With Out Limits

Changing Habits Can Change Your Life - Goal Setting

Creating super habits are easier than you could ever imagine. Most people have something they would like to change in their lives. If you ask anyone, they are usually able to answer this question, "If you could change anything about yourself, what would you change." All the self help and personal development programs and books available today are full of useful information that nobody seems to take advantage of. You've seen the TV commercials and listen to other people tell their stories, about how they lost weight.

Are you one of those skeptics that find these stories hard to believe. Do you think it's possible to create a life changing habit within 30 days? If you don't think it's possible, have you ever tried to change something about yourself you don't like.

If you haven't tried, how do you know it's impossible. If you have tried to create change in your life, did you quit, did you quit shortly after you started. This is often what most people do. They either quit before they start and never even get started, or they quit within a short period of time after they started. Usually these people have an excuse, most of the time their excuse is quite simply, it was harder than I thought.

Creating super habits in 30 days is possible and you don't have to be an over achiever to accomplish this goal. Creating these habits will require some effort on your part but the rewards most of the time are worth the effort.

I challenge you to change something about yourself you don't like within the next 30 days.

How Did You Choose Your Religion

Down With Pessimism

If there ever was a time to change our thoughts about what we want, it's NOW! As you can see & hear all around you, there is such a focus on all that is wrong in the world, especially with the economy.

You cannot pick up a newspaper, turn on the TV or radio, or even look on the Internet without all the focus on the economic situation. This negative focus does not serve us.

Yes, I know some people are being laid off from their jobs, business are closing, & other economic "markers" indicate a shift from our previous status. There are many who have to face major changes in their lives because of the transition that is occurring right now. We all have hope for those who have to make these changes that they will find their way though this period in their life & will move forward again. They will.

I gave much thought to the wording I used in the paragraph above. I wanted to be sure NOT to feed into the negativity that surrounds all the news that bombards us nor feed into the situations that some people are presently in.

Our thoughts & words have such power. How we choose to frame & label our life situation can be critical towards how we handle it Careful wording from the place we are presently at to where we want to be is all in how we choose to view it. The last thing someone needs when faced with a job loss or whatever one is facing is the continued negativity & pessimism that can be placed on these situations.

I know it's not easy to keep a positive frame of mind when faced with a challenge. You need to feel what you feel & not deny the experience. But then, at some point, we need to stand up & seek the light, the solution, the next step to improvement of the situation so we can move forward with our lives.

It will NOT help to continue looking at the news as all it will show you is more pessimism & doubt. It will not help to join with those who are wallowing in sorrow as they will just keep us in a continued state of pessimism & doubt.

"Oh, so I should put on blinders or rose-colored glasses & pretend that all is well?"
YES! In a way, that is what could help! It would do more good than keeping yourself in a state of pain & sorrow over your situation. By changing the focus of what we want, we have a better chance of creating a better situation. A little OPTIMISM, no matter how small, will do more good than to stay trapped in the muck of pessimism & hopelessness.

HOPE is what will take you from where you are to a better place. POSITIVE EXPECTATION will take you further than giving up. OPTIMISM will be a better seed to plant within you than continuing to wallow in pessimism. The feelings of hope, positive belief, & optimism are there if you allow them in.

Law of Attraction says where we place our focus will expand. If we keep ourselves aligned with the pessimism & doubt, we feed that energy & keep it alive. And it is also true that if we can align with hope, positive expectation, & optimism, THAT will be the energy that will THRIVE.

Find it within you to face the current transition we find ourselves in by embracing solutions. Face the changes with positive expectation, & address your issues with hope. Don't be a part of the pessimism & doubt that is present. Create the ladder to climb UP instead of grabbing the shovel to dig deeper.

Creating A Habit

Read and Change Your Life

Most people read a book and if it's good, they might recommend it to someone else, but if the book is great, you can guarantee they will recommend it to everyone who is interested or who they think might be interested in the book. In the field of personal development, one book comes to mind, it's called, "You Can Have It All" by Arnold Patent.

I found the book in one of our antique thrift stores and paid less than $10 for it, I really didn't think much of it and never heard of Arnold Patent before. We've all heard of Anthony Robbins, Susie Orman, Wayne Dyer, but I never heard of Arnold Patent. I skimmed through the book and it looked like a short read. I read the book in about six hours and plan to reread the book, as soon as I get it back for my daughter. The book has short chapters, most of them less than five pages.

Looking at the short chapters, you could get the impression, that there isn't very much information in each chapter, how could there be with less than five pages and some chapters less than three pages. This was very deceiving to me, because each paragraph, was like a chapter and each chapter was like a small book.

The book is full of tools and advice and combines personal development with spirituality. He has chapters on meditation, energy, enjoying what you love to do for the rest of your life, cause and effect, abundance, attachment, pain and suffering, harmony, karma the past and forgiveness.

I can't tell you what a pleasure it was to read this book and if you're looking for some basics on quite a few motivational, spiritual and laws of attraction topics, this book has almost everything you need to get you interested in changing your life. You could actually read one chapter a day and think about it for the rest of the week, there's that much information in each chapter.

I was reading one of his recommendations and it was from Oprah Winfrey, she said, "It was one of the most important books that I had ever read." That's coming from one of the most successful people in the entertainment business. I stumbled across this book and might not have ever found it, but I'm telling you about it and highly recommend it.

Why do Muslims and Islam Honor Jesus and Mary

Many do not know that Muslims honor Jesus and Mary as part of their religious beliefs. The following highlights some of the facts regarding Muslims beliefs about Jesus and Mary.

* Muslims believe in Jesus as a prophet. They believe that God (Allah) sent many prophets to mankind and Jesus was one of them

* As the Muslim religions foundation is to believe in one God and not to associate anyone with God and His powers and attributes, Jesus was only a human being that was raised by God and will return him to this earth in this life. Jesus will then die as a regular human being.

* Muslims believe that Bible was revealed on Prophet Jesus. However, with time, as that book was changed, God (Allah) revealed His last book, the Quran on the last prophet, Prophet Muhammad.

* Quran was revealed over a period of 23 years

* Muslims believe in Mary as the Virgin mother of Prophet Jesus

* There is an entire chapter in the Quran that explains in detail the birth of Jesus, his family, etc. The chapter is called Chapter of Mary

* Muslims believe that Jesus although was put on the cross was never crucified. Instead, he was raised to the heavens by God (Allah) and another person instead was crucified in his place. These teachings and the fully story are narrated in the Quran.

* Muslims also believe that Jesus will come back to earth, unit the Christians and the Muslims and will kill the anti-Christ.

* The Quran teaches Muslims that Jesus though was a normal human being but had special powers from God (Allah) including raising the dead and curing diseases.

Where Did God Come From? The Beginning of Religions

It seems like everywhere we look in the world, we are always focused on something in the middle. Often we are spending most of our time thinking about the end and never thinking about how it all began. In the holy Bible, it states in the beginning but doesn't talk about the beginning of the beginning. Where did God come from, that is the actual beginning.

I don't know how many stories I've read in the Bible about other people's triumphs and defeats, but keep in mind that some of these stories cannot be proven, factually. Some people believe in Krishna, others Jesus, Buddha, God, and the vast and numerous creators of the world and the entire universe. I don't know which one or if all of them are the true God's and by that I would refer to God as the creator of the universe.

It seems to be extremely difficult to prove scientifically and without any doubt, that the earth was created by a creator, according to popular religious text and would be very difficult to prove with in the leading religions of the world.

Let's get back to the question of where did God come from? There obviously had to be someone before the creation of the universe, if you choose to believe in a creator. Is God a man, woman or some sort of spiritual entity, like a ghost or maybe some smoke that can form into anything at any time and if so, did his secrets come from another creator or superior being. Was God involved in self-help and learned all these secrets on his own, through trial and error.

I often wonder, how long the creator of the universe was alive before our creation and what other worlds has this all mighty and powerful being built before or after ours. Do we have sister universes and if so, will we ever be able to see them or visit them, during our lifetimes.

Most people dismiss the creation of the creator, but wouldn't this be one of the most important parts of any religion? There's obviously something to think about here and I wish that most people practicing religions, which involve a deity or superior being, could take a little more interest in finding out where their God actually came from.

Oh yeah, one more thing. If you do find the answers, I would love to hear from you and by the way, you would be solving one of the universes most perplexing and complicated secrets. You could be a gazillionaire and make the cover of Time magazine, something to think about.

Ignorant Excuses Who Needs Them

Success Through Inspiration - Reading One Book

Could one book, read by one person change the world. One book written by Henry David Thoreau called "Walden", changed the lives of people in India and the United States of America. These people were treated like second-class citizens and soon were inspired to change because of one person gave them hope that they could.

This man died when he was 46 years old and I wouldn't consider him a world of success at that time but he did live his life, the way he wanted to live it, for the most part. He has inspired great people like Gandhi and Martin Luther King. He had no idea, at the time he was writing the book, the impact "Walden" would have on the world.

He wrote his book on daily experiences that he had living in a cabin for just a little over two years. Two years of his life and he created this wonderful masterpiece. It's amazing how the few hours a day, for a couple of years could create something that would inspire others to become great leaders and provide the world with inspiration.

People for years have been inspiring others to change their lives. If I had to make a list of all the people who had inspired me, it would be pretty long. There are a few books, movies, documentaries and individuals who have inspired me more than others. I'm sure you have lists of people that you look up to also. Changing the world to make it a better place will take individuals who are inspired by others, educated by others and helped by others to become who they are today.

Henry David Thoreau has inspired other people, and was also inspired by others. Never underestimate the success that you can be created through inspiration. Continue to receive your inspiration from great people and provide inspiration for those who need it greatly.

Getting Comfortable With Change: 5 Easy Steps

"Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change." - Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

When something happens to you that might be labeled as negative, how do you react? The initial reaction for most of us is to run or hide, look for someone to blame, come up with excuses, wonder what we could have done differently, shift into a fear mode or do all of the above.

Whether the situation revolves around health issues, finances, work or relationships, the tendency is to dwell in the past or worry about the future. When we have one foot in the past and one foot in the future, it leaves nothing for the present! We spend our time, fearfully saying "What if .... happens?" And it's this focus on the future that causes feelings of fear and anxiety.

Here's a quote from The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle that applies to this topic: "Unease, anxiety, tension, stress, worry - all forms of fear - are caused by too much future, and not enough presence. Guilt, regret, resentment, grievances, sadness, bitterness, and all forms of nonforgiveness are caused by too much past, and not enough presence."

Fear-based thinking is widespread in our society; fear of failure, of rejection, of poverty, of the unknown and of death. If we were to sum all this up in one word - it would be fear of change. We fear change because it takes away our feeling of security. So how is the best way to handle change, deal with so called negative circumstances and banish fear? There are five things you can do:

1. Practice gratitude. Make a list of all the things for which you are grateful. Doing this practice attracts more positive things into your life. Add to your list everyday.

2. Put both feet in the present! When you catch your mind drifting in to the past or the future, gently bring it back to the present moment. Put your attention on where you are NOW. Get quiet and ask your inner guidance for clarity and direction.

3. Accentuate the positive. Look for the opportunity in the situation. Drop negative words like not and don't. So rather than say, "I don't want to be broke", say "I want to be financially secure" or better still say " I am financially secure" or best ask, "In what ways, am I financially secure?"

4. Create a clear vision of what you want. Imagine it happening and experience the feeling of what it would be like to live your vision.

5. Let go of the outcome. Clinging too tightly to a particular outcome limits other possibilities . Know that following the previous four steps is attracting what you want, so just relax!

Following these five steps takes practice and diligence. It is natural to slip back into old patterns when unexpected events happen - that's okay. Just shift your thinking to these new steps when you catch yourself staddling the past and the future. You'll know when this happens because your body will tell you with various reactions!

Pokemon And Religion

Mental Awareness

Being aware of your thoughts is the first actual step to proper self defense. Believe it or not most of what you think determines what will happen in an altercation with someone. This might be a fight between friends or it might be a more serious situation like defending yourself from a burglar or criminal. Your mind in every situation controls exactly what it is you do...obviously. But did you know that thinking negative thought during an altercation can actually prohibit you from and success in the situation? If you are thinking nothing but, "How am I going to make it out of this?" or "oh my God I might not live through this!" it is a high possibility that those thoughts could come true.

Please understand me when I say this, I don't expect you to be thinking about going to the amusement park while you're being robbed, let's be serious. But what you can do is say,"Everything is going to be Ok just stay calm." Saying that simple little phrase tells your subconscious to do everything it can in order to bring that into reality. This can actually be applied to everything in your life. I am not here to write about soul seeking, personal development but you get the picture.

The main lesson to take from this is simple; stay focused, stay positive. You might have pepper spray in your purse or pocket or you might have a stun gun or even a knife with you. These self defense weapons mean nothing if you're not calm enough to use them. Once again, you don't have to be in a Zen like state but you have to keep your mind on your goal and this is to stay alive and walk out of the situation OK. Check out a post called "Mental Affirmations." This post almost complements what you have read here so far, but with more details and steps.

In conclusion just make sure you keep yourself ahead of the game by using your head. Tell yourself that you will be OK and that all will turn out fine. You and only you control what happens in your life. Even certain outside factors can be changed by what you think and how you talk to yourself. Mental awareness is what separate survivors from victims. If you plan on living your life in happiness and freedom then keep telling yourself that you are happy and safe from harm. That is the only thing you can do to keep yourself ahead of the game.

Matthew Batcho is an entrepreneur that has been involved with start-up business for over 10 years. He currently owns a landscaping business and runs a small self defense business online. He enjoys writing, painting, and discovering new ways to build business.

Difficulties Talking About Religion

Difficulties Talking About Religion - Why Can't We Talk About Religion?

Why do people find it difficult to talk about religion? Have you ever heard the saying that there's three things you don't talk about. Religion, politics and other people. I have spent my whole life talking to people about all three of these topics and will continue to do so, because I find religion, politics and people extremely fascinating.

I rarely encounter an individual who would like to speak about religion, but I often, seem to worm a couple of tidbits of information from them. When I speak to someone, I do my best not to make any one feel uncomfortable, because of their religious or spiritual beliefs. This only causes frustration between us and will not get us anywhere.

I did not learn this lesson early but now have it securely fastened into my mind. Hopefully I never forget it, to some people it's more important to be right than happy, I want to be happy and give them something to think about.

Some people when talking about religion can become quite animated and start throwing their arms in the air, jumping up and down, yelling and screaming, calling me names and even threatening me. This doesn't make any sense to me, because they're supposed to be compassionate and loving individuals. What's wrong with them, I know there's nothing wrong with me, what could be wrong with them. Just kidding. Isn't this how we think though.

It seems like most people don't have problems talking to other people whom agree with them. You will find very little difficulties talking about religion with others, whom agree wholeheartedly with your thinking. The difficulties arise when someone brings a topic into the conversation that becomes offensive, because they either don't understand it or have been taught to believe something different about it.

The difficulties talking about other religions or spiritual beliefs, will probably always cause friction, until we start taking some time to understand where they are coming from. If you have somebody that upsets you, when speaking about their religion or spiritual beliefs, I have something I would like you to try the next time you see them.

Try to spend some time finding common ground, ask them about their religious or spiritual beliefs. Gather some information and try to understand, "Where Their Coming From". This could lead you to a better understanding about them and possibly learn something about yourself.

Strong Bold Courageous Words Which Spiritual Leaders Have a Responsibility to Teach in These Days

God is ready to assume full responsibility for the life wholly yielded to Him. That comes over time and time again in the Scriptures.

You will have no test of faith that will not fit you to be a blessing if you are obedient to the Lord. I never had a trial but when I got out of the deep river I found some poor pilgrim on the bank that I was able to help by that very experience. Reading these words were of immense blessing to me as I completed my preparations for three weeks teaching at Pastors and Leaders Seminars in Kenya.

It horribly skews the meaning of the cross when contemporary prophets of self-esteem say that the cross is a witness to my infinite worth. The biblical perspective is that the cross in a witness to the infinite worth of God's glory, and a witness to the immensity of the sin of my pride. Leaders must be faithful in sharing these two truths with their people.

The nature of Christ's salvation is woefully misrepresented by the present-day evangelist. He announces a Savior from Hell rather than a Savior from sin. And that is why so many are fatally deceived, for there are multitudes who wish to escape the Lake of fire who have no desire to be delivered from their carnality and worldliness. That would not be very popular in certain places these days but very necessary everywhere.

Prayer is not so much an act as it is an attitude-an attitude of dependency - dependency upon God. Leaders - teach your people to pray. Make time to teach your people to pray. Jesus Christ did and He is our pattern and role model for everything - particularly prayer.

Before God furnishes that abundant supply, we must first be made conscious of our emptiness. Before He gives strength, we must feel and sense our weakness. Slow, painfully slow, are we to learn this lesson, and slower still to own our nothingness and take the place of helplessness before the Mighty One.

A good character is the best tombstone. Those who loved you and were helped by you will remember you when forget-me-nots have withered. Carve your name on hearts, not on marble. These words were spoken by C.H. Spurgeon many years ago now and he went on to say - Beware of no man more than of yourself. We carry our worst enemies within us.

"Oh, Brethren, it is sickening work to think of your cushioned seats, your chants, your anthems, your choirs, your organs, your gowns, and your bands, and I know not what besides, all made to be instruments of religious luxury, if not of pious dissipation, while ye need far more to be stirred up and incited to holy ardor for the propagation of the truth as it is in Jesus." How might these challenging words of C.H. Spurgeon be received in many places of worship in today's ecclesiastical climate?

A man says to me, 'Can you explain the seven trumpets of the Revelation?' No, but I can blow one in your ear, and warn you to escape from the wrath to come.

Can Yoga Help My Back Pain? - Part 3

Remember, with back pain as you know every move you make (if your back pain is severe) you need to think of ways to move safely and the best way to do it. There is a school of thought that says bed rest. My thoughts are to keep moving, keep the body mobile, keep the circulation going. Do GENTLE exercise, go with the flow, your body is hurt and will respond to TLC so avoid working too hard. Listen to your body.

Suffering from pain is seems to a norm to endure. Maybe through ignorance, fear or whatever. I have known many people who just 'hang on to their pain. The constant pain can bring you down physically, mentally and emotionally. Medications used to treat back pain are in the main relaxants and inflammatory and with many side effects. This is where yoga comes into its own, there is plenty of studies, evidence that practicing yoga for back, neck and shoulder pain has great benefits with pain relief and functionality.

Studies have shown that yoga is more beneficial than other forms of exercise, it is understood that the breathing exercises, relaxation and yoga exercises take some pressure away from the back. The comparisons are shown to be very clear with yoga giving the greatest benefits. The role that yoga plays for back pain seems to be more effective than conventional exercise on a daily basis and therefore long term.

There are over 65 million Americans that suffer from back pain, so if you are one of them consider going to a yoga class and give a try. Yoga is for everyone, no matter who you are or what you are.

Performing simple tasks can be difficult with back pain, temporary or otherwise. Being frustrated because you are unable to do what you used to do is a real pain in the 'arm' and interrupts one's life some what. With medical help it can be expensive and invasive and sometimes additive and does it work? Maybe, a little for a while then it returns. With yoga it's the reverse. Affordable, non invasive (and for me it is addictive) and it's a better healthy alternative for treating neck, shoulder and back pain.

Many of the poses can be modified for a deeper stretch or to approach certain back conditions. Using a combination of yoga postures will build strength and align the spine leading to the body to heal.

Motivation For Doing Cardio

Today I am going to talk about the importance of doing your cardio without getting bored. I have tried doing my cardio for an hour without any kind of music, and time drag and my cardio was not as effective. When cd players were out, you can only get 17-18 songs on a disk and it was a pain to change the cd during your workout, so the best thing to come out was the iPod.

My iPod holds 1000 songs and there is no changing disk or carrying around a big cd player. It's very small and you can categorize your workout songs. They have an iPod arm band so your hands stay free!

With that being said, working out with having music at your disposal is one thing, but what kind of music should you listen to that will help you stay motivated? Well this is what I listen to and we all have our preference's. I like to float back and forth between dance, rock, and hip hop. I mix newer music in with old. Having new music and going back and forth between dance, rock, and hip hop keeps things fresh, because listening to the same thing gets old and boring. I don't recommend slow songs, jazz, easy listening, or anything light, because it brings you energy levels are down and you don't get much of a cardio workout as you would with up tempo music. However, we all have our preferences and if you feel that lighter music will give you a better cardio workout, than by all means knock yourself out.

Now whether you download illegally or not, I won't get into that. However, I recommended the apple iPod, and you can store your music on iTunes. http://www.apple.com/itunes/ It's very easy to use as well. There are tutorials on itunes and they will help you get started.

So in conclusion, you should make your workouts as effective as possible and having music will help you stay motivated. I encourage you to visit my new site at http://www.infobloginsider.com until next time!

How to Deal With the Number One Creativity Drain - Anger

My sister and I were having a conversation a while back about how draining anger is and in the middle of the conversation I said it also robs you of your creativity. We both had a "Yep, that's true," kind of moment as the truth of this statement sunk in.

I'd never said anything like that before, but the instant it came out of my mouth I knew that it was absolutely true.

At its core, creativity is all about problem solving; creating a positive solution to or for something. Anger, on the other hand, is all about festering deeper into negativity. In fact, many times when we get angry we do things we regret because we say we just weren't thinking clearly. Creativity requires clear thought. The channels of creative thought need to be cleared of the debris that anger will leave clogging up your path. Debris like: Bad attitude, negative thoughts, repulsive energy, retaliation, and fear. Well, you might be saying, angry people come up with creative solutions to their problems as well. My answer is, yes you're right they do; but I'm talking about creating that brings more abundance to yourself and to others as well.

Of course in life there will be things that happen that cause us to experience the deep range of our emotions. In my opinion as we grow and become more conscious our job is to manage these emotions.

Not to long ago I found myself in a situation that had me angry. I was literally seeing red. I started spinning my wheels I was so angry. I was ranting on and on about it for a day or so until a thought crossed my mind: "You've really got to stop building a fortress of anger. Be disappointed, deal with that and move on." That was my aha moment. I was creating a sanctuary of anger that would keep me locked in that state if I wasn't mindful. No forward motion. No creativity available to come up with positive solutions to keep me on track no matter what.

In that moment realized that what I needed to experience and express was the disappointment and then move on, which I did. This is how I now continue to choose to deal with situations that upset me. I experience the disappointment, & move on to an attitude of "Now what can I do to move myself forward." In fact, when you raise that question that's when creative thinking will be at its absolute best.

Spending 15 Minutes Each Day

What an Olympic Champion Taught Me

Several years ago, I was training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. During my early morning work-out I noticed this guy squat-walking around the track with a tire full of sand or something around his neck. It was obviously very heavy.

Can You Squat-Walk?

I did not know who the guy was or what he did as an athlete. Finally, one day at lunch I happened to be sitting across the table from him. I introduced myself. His name was Eric. I said, "I see you doing the squat-walking every morning. That's incredible. What sport do you do?" And he said, "I'm a skater, you know, a speed skater." Eric seemed to be a very unassuming person.

The Conversation That Changed My Life

We were both young guys in our early 20s. We met a few more times at lunch and one day I asked him, "How're the Winter Olympics going to be looking for you?" And he said, "I'm doing well. My training is going well." I asked, "How are you going to do?" And he said, without a trace of ego or arrogance, "I think I'm going to win five gold medals." And I'm thinking, "5 gold medals! He's a crazy man!"

So I Asked ---

So I followed up by asking why he thought he would win five gold medals. His answer changed my life. It was:

"Because I train harder than anyone else in the world."

I look at his answer as giving himself a rational reason for the irrational belief that he could win five gold medals. Therefore, as long as he continued training harder, he'd be giving himself permission to believe he could win.

I also asked him about his competition in the various events. He told me something else that rocked me. He said:

"The competition is with myself."

Eric only competed with himself. With his goals. With his physical capacity. The "competition" did not exist in his world.

For those of us who are old enough to know, Eric Heiden went out and he did win five Olympic Gold Medals in the 1980 Winter Olympics and while doing this he set Olympic and world records.

Big learning here...

Your WHY Is More Important Than Your What.

Eric linked himself to the outrageous goal of five gold medals. How?

Gold Medals = Working Harder Than Anyone Else = Eric Heiden's Belief

When you believe that it's possible, and give yourself a rational reason to believe it's possible, and you work like your hair is on fire --- then... IT IS POSSIBLE!

The Freedom to Think

When I hear the positive thinking gurus many of whom I hold in high esteem - speak on their topic, they often ignore a fundamental component of positive, empowered thinking. That component is freedom. Sometimes, in the rush to tie positive thinking to tangible benefits, they can sound like the NASA administrator looking for congressional funding for some program. They promise health, wealth, and happiness in return for your efforts.

The result of positive, empowered thinking might, indeed, be that you are healthier, happier, or wealthier, but the real benefit is that you are a free, empowered person.

Has it ever occurred to you that positive thinking is a freedom issue? What could be more freeing than the ability to command your own thought processes and use them to build the life you want? The power to think for oneself has been among the fundamental battles of humankind from the beginning. Since time immemorial rulers, religious bodies, or the group have sought to limit the power of the individual to think his or her own thoughts.

Our mainstream culture, in a nation that supposedly values freedom, demonstrates a consistent pattern of assault on that ability. The pressure is to conform and think like everyone else. The empowered, positive-thinking person always has the ability to override the external chatter and focus on creating the thoughts, words, and actions that best suits his or her needs. In short, these people have the power to create life rather than react to it.

Negative thinking, which is really synonymous with not having command of your own thoughts, is extremely disempowering even debilitating. Why? Think about when a negative thought comes to mind. The emotions and feelings associated with the thought start to rise. Who is in control at that moment; you or the negative thought?

The fact is that people who think for themselves (i.e. positive, empowered people) are independent, capable individuals who can achieve just about anything. People who allow societal norms or other people to do their thinking for them (i.e. negative thinkers) quickly become dependent and unable to move forward in their lives.

This principle can be applied to any area of your life. If you want to be a better football player, is thinking positively or negatively about your skills more likely to get you there? How about being a better spouse or a better sales person?

When looked at in this vein it becomes clear that the ability to develop, manage, and maintain your own thinking tends towards greater personal freedom. That freedom is the basis on which greater achievement is possible.

Ray Davis is a writer, poet, and thinker based in the American Midwest. His writing advocates the principles of personal freedom and spiritual development. He has developed B2B sales traning programs for a Fortune 40 company for nearly seven years. Prior to that he was a top producing sales rep for six years. He is the founder of The Affirmation Spot http://www.theaffirmationspot.com

Affirmations are positive statements that inspire and motivate people to take active steps to enhance professional and recreational performance, strive to achieve goals, face challenges, modify or reinforce behavior, and improve the general quality of life. They are thought vitamins that fortify your mind the same way vitamins fortify your body.

Keep Believing in You

January is just about done (can you believe it), time waits for no man. I hope everyone is following their plans, guidelines or whatever you label your project to be. I know it can be overwhelming but if we want to get to our goals we just have to woman/man up and do what we have to do. That's were changing your mindset comes into play.

Since to the beginning of the New Year I have just been taking it one day at a time, everyday I'm doing something that relates to my business, even when I don't feel like doing it, because if I don't do it it will just sit there waiting to be taken care of. Whenever you get that thought in your head to go take care of whatever project you may have going on, that's when you go tackle it and take care of business (you don't have to get it right you just gotta get it going).

Changing your mindset does not mean you stop being who you are as a person its just means you are looking at things in a different light, you now believe in your dreams/goals, you know that you deserve nothing but the best, You basically giving yourself an upgrade on the inside a makeover on the inside your mind and heart.

I'm am so happy and excited of this New Year 2009 because I feel the change in myself, I'm really proud of the accomplish Ive made in the past 5 months not just with my business but with myself.
I want you to have the same changes I'm having, and to feel the changes within yourself that you are headed in the right direction.

This is your friend DawnW wanting nothing but the best for you, I love and appreciate you have a wonderful week.

In My World - Poems About Severe Autism

These poems express my assumptions on what my friends with severe autism may be expressing through their fear, anger, loneliness, stubbornness and frustration. The last poem is lighter as it describes the "joining process" I describe in a few of my other articles.

Fear

Defenseless at most, helpless we coast.
Mountains of fear, ever so near
Causing the plight, brought on by the fright
Lost in confusion, realm of illusion
Trying to get by, both inward and shy
Who do we trust? But trust we must
For alone, often lost, unable to cross
To the perceptual view, of not just a few
What is occurring now, the where, when and how?

Impatience

I wait
I wonder
I listen
I pray
Waiting for outcomes
Still far away
Who can hear my silent cry?
And still do nothing
Just stand by
Apparently many
So it seems
Lost in their own
Superficial dreams
I wait
I wonder
I listen
I cry
As the days and weeks
And years go by.

Loneliness

Me Against the World
I sit in the throng
Perceiving the future
Examining the past
Closed in
Shut out
Pulling in
Thrashing about
From the fright
Help!
I shout
I can not be
Part of your world
Can you not see?
Separate is what
I am destined
To be

Stubbornness

Frail, pale, angelic blue eyes,
Torrents, torments, unspoken truths,
Anger, pain, stubborn resolve,
Subject me not to your rules
He seems to shout,
As he covers his ears,
And jumps about,
Toothbrush in hand
Tapping a rhythm,
Only he understands,
Carefully watching
From the corner of his eyes,
For an opportunity to escape,
The trappings we create,
Freedom at last! If only for awhile
At times like this, one can glimpse
My friend' infectious smile.

Frustration

I am who I am! This is who I was meant to be
My perceptions create the person I know as me.
My world is not your world! Why can you not see?
Not fully in my body, I am aloft, truly free.

Why should I be a slave to a body that causes me such pain?
Why would I limit myself? What have I to gain?
Why must I work so hard-meet you more than half way?
Why must I try so hard when you stay at bay?

Accept what you have been offered, with an open grateful heart.
If you would like to grow in wisdom to become what I call smart.
It is a club to envy; its membership quite unique.
An open willing heart is all you really need.

Approach me, as my student-I will teach you well.
Approach me as my teacher I am apt to give you hell.
Approach as a partner-we will flourish in exchange.
Approach me as a martyr-you may sense my disdain.

I have many answers that I can share with you.
Just keep your channel open. Listen for what rings true.
My love reaches out to you, from the spiritual side of me.
Appreciate the blessing I am meant to be.

Joining

A meeting of minds
A blending of souls
Intertwining free flowing thought
Exchanging ideas as precious gifts,
One to the other hoping to uplift,
Never judging,always accepting,
An engagement of spirit, lovely and free,
Communicating union for humanity

I have served as a teacher of individuals with autism for many years. What my students have taught me was to be sure of nothing, and open myself to the extraordinary. If you are interested in learning more about the "joining process" take the opportunity to check out my articles. Comments are encouraged and appreciated.

Thank you,

Spiritual Meaning of Numbers - An Overview

Numbers are the language of our universe. As the stars dance above in accordance to pre-determined paths, so are all of our activities governed by math. Since the beginning of logical philosophy, this perfect order has been seen as evidence of supernatural design and humans have sought to comprehend the spiritual meaning of numbers. Today, Pythagorean numerology is widely used in both old and new contexts, though sometimes criticized due to it's history of secrecy and magic. However, numerology has spiritual roots in the interpretation of Hebrew writing and in numbers in the Bible.

Hilda Phoebe Hudson said that, "to all of us who hold the Christian belief that God is truth, anything that is true is a fact about God, and mathematics is a branch of theology." Many are familiar with the meaning of the number 666. The number of the beast has had Christians watching their lives for three sixes for millenia. However, the spiritual meaning of numbers has more to it than the devil! Some modern Christians choose to interpret double or triple integers that they notice repeat in their lives (on a clock or sign, etcetera) as "angel numbers" to be interpreted by using the Pythagorean technique of adding the digits to find the spiritual meaning of numbers.

The Meaning Of Numbers:
1.) The number one in Pythagorean numerology represents rugged individualism and aggressiveness for survival. The Cantonese believed that one meant a sure thing.
2.) Two is a blessed balance or a union of female and male in Pythagorean belief. The Chinese meaning might be more related to simplicity and ease.
3.) The number three is reflected in the Holy Trinity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and in the story of Christ rising after three days of death. It is representative of completeness.
4.) Four represents stability that can be build upon to initiate creation in Pythagorean numerology, however, the Chinese thought it unlucky and related to suffering before death.
5.) Five to Pythagorean numerologists represents the tireless action required in order to avoid instability. The Chinese felt that this was the number associated with the self and the individual.
6.) Through the Pythagorean system, the growth and temporary stability represented by the number six shows a point where one can pause to understand before moving on. The Chinese believed six to be easy and simple.
7.) In Hebrew, the word "seven" also means "full" and "complete." More negative in Chinese systems, the Pythagorean philosophy casts a shadow of mystery on seven to be puzzled out.
8.) To Pythagoras, eight represented having enough power and fulfillment to be able to sacrifice some before moving on, if necessesary. In several cultures, eight can represent prosperity and abundance.
9.) The spiritual meaning of numbers in many cultures recognizes nine as the most lucky digit, since it is only one less than ten. It is the moment of change and transition before the ultimate. The Chinese believed it to be related to the concept of eternity.

Studying On Faith Alone

The Principle of Emptiness

Emptiness is a spiritual concept that is best defined by the Tao Te Ching. The true nature of the cosmos is emptiness, the universe is almost 100% empty space. The reason we sense the material world as solid is that the solid particles are moving so fast we sense them in millions of places as if at once.

An empty mind is in a state of meditation, an empty mind can receive insight which is always fresh and present oriented. Communicated insight becomes old and stale and contributes to the accumulation of knowledge rather than the depth of understanding.

The principle of emptiness basically refers to the meaninglessness of phenomenon. Whatever meaning is interpreted from any action or circumstance is wholly illusory and subjective.

The Tao Te Ching reads:

Become totally empty
Quiet the restlessness of the mind
Only then will you witness everything unfolding from emptiness
See all things flourish and dance in endless variation
And once again merge back into perfect emptiness
Their true repose
Their true nature
Emerging, flourishing, dissolving back again
This is the eternal process of return
To know this process brings enlightenment
To miss this process brings disaster

Again the Tao Te Ching:

Know That which is beyond all beginnings
And you will know everything here and now
Know everything in this moment
And you will know the Eternal Tao

The fullness of the present moment is framed by the emptiness of the past and the emptiness of the future. Misunderstanding this emptiness is the basis of all illusion.

We are empty vessels. As long as the ego seeks fulfillment from the outer world (see attachment) enlightenment and contentment are not possible. We cannot seek for the truth and acquire it as if it were a rare object, Rather truth flows from the plenum of the void and fills the emptiness and expresses itself through us in appearance, language, and behavior. It flows like a river, it cannot be stored as knowledge and experience, nor even as wisdom.

Balance Your Chakras With Acupuncture and Essential Oils

Chakra acupuncture combines the wisdom of ancient Indian medical knowledge and Chinese acupuncture. In Indian traditional medicine (such as Ayurvedic medicine), the chakras are seven key energy centers. The word comes from the Sanskrit for 'wheel of light'. In contemporary alternative therapies the two systems have been usefully combined, both in reaching a diagnosis and in treatment. Aromatherapy and the use of essential oils add a third level to this way of healing.

The seven principal chakras, or energy centers, are the material incarnation of the spiritual. They are located on the midline of the body, in line with the spine from the cranium to the groin area. There are many more chakras, but these seven - the root, spleen, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown chakras - are the most important. The chakras correspond more or less to the 'organs' in Chinese medical terminology. The fourth chakra, for example, correlates with the liver and spleen in Chinese medicine. The different chakras are foci for different types of power and consciousness, such as personal power (third chakra), sexual potency (second chakra) and creative energy (fifth chakra).

The chakras are not only concerned with the flow of energy in the body but also with mediating positive and negative energy from the surrounding environment, that affects physical, emotional and spiritual health. Chakra imbalances are caused by stress, illness, poor nutrition and social and spiritual problems, amongst other things. Similarly to traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is concerned both with energy locations and the flow of energy, or qi, along channels or meridians. Yin and yang are the positive and negative forces of qi. Both acupuncture and the chakra circulatory system aim to restore balance, to release energy blockages and boost qi.

Chakra acupuncture brings together the power of the two systems. Acupuncture needles inserted at the chakra locations are believed to achieve the aim of revitalizing the life forces and unblocking the energy channels.

The philosophy of aromatherapy, using essential oils, complements Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine still further. The oil can be inhaled, applied to the hands or feet, matched to the particular chakra that needs re-balancing or simply placed within the patient's energy field. The specific oil used may also be chosen according to principles of color therapy, with different colors corresponding to different chakras and their particular energies. Different oils also have differing energizing effects.

The three therapies combine seamlessly and for many offer the answer to their physical and emotional needs. Like other alternative ways of healing, chakra acupuncture with aromatherapy is a drug-free health path that takes into account that we are not just biological organisms but also spiritual beings.

It is the New Year - Have You Given Up on Your Resolutions Yet?

For most people, the answer is probably yes. For the most part, people's resolutions fail because they really were not serious about them to begin with. It was just a passing thought and it really did not mean anything to them and the only reason they set a resolution was because that is what you are supposed to do for the New Year.

For others, the ones who are serious about their resolutions, is that they simply don't know how to set a proper resolution.

Commonly, people will set resolutions like: I want to lose weight or maybe I am going to quit smoking.

These are fine resolutions but they are still bound to fail because they don't know how to properly set a resolution. A resolution is nothing more than goal setting but, most people don't know how to properly set a goal.

First, they don't write down their goal. Do this and it is easily forgotten. In addition, they phrase it in a negative fashion, don't set a time limit and have no way of measuring the success of their goal and it should be written in a manner that it has already been accomplished. Gratitude and the positive effects of the goal should also be included.

For example, the person who is serious about quitting smoking should write his resolution something like this:

Today, April 1, 2009, I am so grateful that I am smoke free. Not only is my breathing better-I don't start the day by coughing anymore but, also my food tastes better, my clothes don't stink anymore and suddenly, I am no longer a social outcast. Becoming smoke free is the best thing that I ever did.

Write it down like this and look at it everyday and by April 1 you will be a non-smoker. You have a deadline, measurable results and you constantly remind yourself of the positive effects. Now that is a resolution that you can literally "live" with.

For the person who wants to lose weight, your resolution (goal) might read something like this:

March 15, 2009, I am so thankful that I started eating a healthy diet at New Years. I now weigh xxx pounds. I have lost 3 dress sizes (belt sizes) and it is amazing how much more energy I have and how good I look in the mirror.

By writing it down, making it measurable, giving yourself a deadline and reminding yourself on a daily basis you will find that achieving your resolution is almost effortless. By doing your resolution in this manner, you will make a habit out of it and you will have pride in your accomplishment and greater respect for yourself.

Now, don't say I will start tomorrow. Sit down, right now and write out that resolution. You will be glad you did.

The Why Principle

I remember the day like yesterday; my brother, Kyle, and I had set a goal of writing our first book while we were still teenagers. It was a lofty goal that definitely required we step out of our comfort zone...way out! Part of us was unsure if we were capable of achieving this goal we had set. But our uncertainty was not about to stop us from trying.

Although we began this process with what seemed to be an endless supply of enthusiasm, we were quickly humbled when the long hours, hot days, and unexpected frustration had emptied our emotional tanks. We needed inspiration and we needed it fast!

Kyle and I put the project on hold as we searched for the enthusiasm we once had. It was then that I noticed something interesting. We had become so focused on all the obstacles and all of the work still ahead of us that we had forgotten what had initially inspired us.

We reminded ourselves of all the reasons why we started writing in the first place: To help thousands of other students succeed, earn enough money to buy our first car, meet extraordinary individuals, travel around the world on surf trips, and so on. As we listed all the benefits of completing the book, we could feel our enthusiasm and inspiration return.

The more we talked about it, the more "real" and life- like each outcome became to us. As a result, we felt more excited about following through with our goal. We picked up where we left off and we continued working with the same passion we had begun with.

However, a short while later, we had a sobering thought that created another challenge. Kyle and I realized that completing our book meant that we would be put in situations where we would have to speak in public in front of large audiences...our greatest fear. This was a sobering thought that, once again, curbed our enthusiasm and tested our commitment.

Before this realization, we had done everything in our power to avoid any speech or presentation in front of two or more people! We found ourselves feeling vulnerable and scared. We knew this fear was not going to be easy to overcome so we needed all the motivation possible.

Unsure how to deal with this fear we continued working on our book, focusing on all of the benefits of completing it. As our book neared completion and more people knew about it, we received our first request to speak at a school. Gulp; this was it. We timidly accepted the opportunity, but convinced the school to delay the date for two months.

Instead of thinking about how scary public speaking was, we focused on all the positive benefits that this new skill would bring. Our fears never entirely disappeared, but we did have the courage to take the next step forward. We called Toastmasters, found our local club, and attended our first meeting the next Monday.

By attending regularly, we gradually gained confidence. We didn't recognize the pattern at the time, but the only way we summoned enough courage to attend the meetings each week was the list of rewards that we always kept in mind. We knew exactly "why" we were doing it.

Our first speech was far from perfect, but it was still a victory. We took action despite our fear. Although the challenges of writing a book and speaking publicly are different, the remedy was the same.

Looking back, the real value of these two early experiences was the discovery of what we now call, "The Why Principle." Whether it was writing a book, speaking in public, trying out for a team, asking someone out on a date, or participating in a job interview, we noticed that The Why Principle generated our motivation and persistence to follow through.

Today, Kyle and I travel all over and speak to people of all ages and demographics. We've been fortunate enough to be guests on numerous TV and radio shows. And we've been able to team up with some of the top authors in the world to co-author more books - all experiences that can be traced back to key moments when we used The Why Principle.

If we know exactly "why" we want something, we can figure out how to make it happen. It's not the goal itself that holds the power, but rather the benefits of achieving the goal that matters most. Too often we lose sight of our original goal and get lost in the various obstacles--or we may back out because of fear. But the key to achievement is reminding ourselves of the reasons WHY our lives will be better as a result of following through.

We can nurture our inspiration and renew our drive by asking ourselves these key questions:

- Why do I want to achieve this outcome?

- How will my life be better as a result?

Those are two very powerful questions. For extra motivation, you may also want to become aware of what you might lose by not following through. The final question to ask would be: What will I miss out on in my life by not following through? Sometimes knowing what we might miss out on is enough of a motivator to take new actions toward success.

The clearer your answers to these three questions, the more motivation you will have. By knowing what you really want and WHY you want it, you can get the most out of yourself, your relationships, your time, and your life.

Much success to you,

Deep and Meaningful Quotes - How 3 Motivational Quotes Can Greatly Improve Your Life

Deep and meaningful quotes are very important in relation with our lives. These may just be mere words, yet they are created to inspire us to live our lives with significance and worth. Deep and meaningful quotes motivate us to outshine the trials and challenges that may hinder us from attaining success.

Here are some of the most important ones to ponder on...

Deep and Meaningful Quotes # 1: "It's good to have money and the things that money can buy, but it's equally good to check once in a while and make sure that you haven't lost the things that money can't buy." -- George Claude Lorimer

Lorimer cited the importance of happiness for individuals who seem to have lost hope or are deeply engrossed with material possession or worldly success. Too many of us become too busy with our business or job, that we tend to ignore or take for granted the things that truly matter in life. Viewing the quote is a good way of being thankful for the persons and things that really make us live great lives.

Deep and Meaningful Quotes # 2: "You are as happy as you make up your mind to be." - Abraham Lincoln

The quote talks about real joy and radiating that feeling to the world. You have the choice to make your life better and happier right this very moment.

Some individuals tell themselves that they'll be happy when they get this or that. However, once they achieve their first dream, they're never fully contented and then move on to say that they'll be happy when they achieve the next best thing.

The bar always goes higher if you do not accept that you can be happy no matter what your current situation is.

Deep and Meaningful Quotes # 3: "The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." -- Joan Borysenko

Borysenko stresses the importance of living life to the fullest. Not one of us knows when our time will come.

It implies how family, friendship, love, generosity and freedom matters. The goal is to leave a legacy even to just a few people, so you can truly say that your life was a blessing to others.

The above-mentioned deep and meaningful quotes are definitely worth reading and applying to your life. To some, reading those quotes may appeal as corny for they haven't really understood the true meaning of what these words convey. It may take some time for people to get accustomed to the lessons provided.

The quotes can also serve as principles and guidelines when making major decisions. A lot of people would be very quick to choose one thing if they feel that it is the easiest and most convenient. Sometimes, quotes help us understand the value of delayed gratification, patience, honesty and other useful values. You should understand the proper application of these - depending on the situation - and make the critical move wisely.

So seek to share these inspirational, deep and meaningful quotes to live by. You'll never know when you have given them hope, reason, and direction to live.

Keeping a Positive Attitude During the Financial Crisis

The President tells us we have staved off a Great Depression with the giant mortgage crisis bail out. The Democratic Candidates tell us that the middle class is dying, people are losing their homes and jobs and the economy is in shambles. We all know that fuel prices are too high and the costs of nearly everything we buy are on the rise.

Treasury Secretary Paulson warns us we are not out of the woods yet and former FED Chairmen Greenspan tells us that this is a one in a century emergency and the 700 billion dollar bail out is the only plausible option. The Commercial Real Estate Industry says they might be next and the retail sector along with car sales are in trouble. GM may need a bail out and the Airlines are all on the verge of stalling out. Corporate America has announced massive lay-offs and huge consolidations, all bad news, very bad news.

So, with all this doom and gloom how on Earth is anyone going to keep a positive attitude? Well, they need too, as "consumer confidence" can often be the difference between economic collapse and a short recession. It's up to all of us now, our leaders have spoken and are taking action, this can work, but not without our help.

It's up to all Americans to think past the mass media hysteria, to believe in our financial system, and to allow it to work through this crisis. After all if you allow yourself to dip into negativity, all you are going to do is cause yourself stress and health issues. And in doing so, you will not be helping yourself, your family or our nation through these turbulent times.
